The United Community Church, 1501 La Jolla Avenue, Sun City Center, celebrated Pentecost Sunday, the great festival marking the anniversary of the birth of the Christian Church. Pentecost means “Fiftieth Day”, celebrated 50 days after Easter. The Liturgical Color for this day is red, to symbolize the Holy Spirit and festival nature of the day.
The church was joyous with beautiful flowers, red balloons and the red apparel worn by many in the congregation.
